Fiona Castro is a junior at University Charter High School. She stated that she joined journalism to “speak about topics that need more attention in today's society”. She enjoys making art, mostly in the theme of nightlife, and representation of the feeling of comfort. Fiona has also been doing martial arts since she was in fifth grade and continues to practice with her heavy bag at home. She is half Taiwanese, a quarter Mexican, and a quarter Puerto Rican. Fiona has recently gotten into photography and has been very passionate in that area. She has an older sister who also went to University High school and attends UCLA. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, and you will see multiple of her artworks presented on the journalism website!
