Terry Alan Blankinship, 62, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual assault involving minors, with alleged incidents spanning from the 1980s through 2011. The charges include first-degree rape, rape by instrumentation, lewd acts with a child under 12, and indecent exposure.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) initiated the investigation in August 2023 at the request of the Tecumseh Police Department. According to court documents, victims had previously attempted to report the abuse to authorities, but their efforts were unsuccessful. One victim reported that Blankinship threatened them, stating they would never see their family again if they disclosed the abuse.
Blankinship is currently held in the Pottawatomie County Jail on a $500,000 bond
Under Oklahoma law, sexual crimes against children under 18 can be prosecuted until the victim’s 45th birthday.
