Strike Two for LAUSD

There was a 3-day strike that happened March 21-24 for LAUSD. Teachers and school service workers partook in striking for multiple causes. Firstly, it was a strike organized by service workers but teachers decided to do a solidarity strike; in which they might also benefit by striking.

CNN stated, “In Los Angeles, the school workers union wants ‘equitable wage increases, more full-time work, respectful treatment, and increased staffing levels for improved student services,’ it said.” Due to this strike, many service workers and teachers won’t be at school, causing LAUSD schools, including Uni, to be shut down.

This affects students as we were also the Covid generation so this sets us back in our education more than students before or after us, but we support teachers and staff workers for better environments.
